    History.

    Founded by Greeks, Feodosiya was a prosperous port until ruined by the Huns in the 4th_century AD. It revived under Genoese rule in the 13th_century, but was taken by the Crimean Tatars in 1475. It was ceded to Russia in 1783 and was under Nazi_Germany occupation during World_War_II.
